In 1975, the Band put on a 5-night, 10-show stand at a Club in New York. The album hit #3 on the Billboard 200, but failed to produce any hit singles. Despite this, it is considered to this day to be one of the greatest rock and roll albums of all time. During this time Springsteen was so popular that he managed to appear on the cover of Time and Newsweek during the same week.

In 1984, Springsteen released Born in the U.S.A., which went 15x Platinum in the United States alone. The album yielded 7 singles that broke through to the Top 10: "Dancing in the Dark," "Cover Me," "Born in the U.S.A.," "I'm on Fire," "Glory Days," "I'm Goin' Down" and "My Hometown." This would mark the commercial peak of one of the most successful artists the United States has ever seen.

Despite releasing several more albums over the years, Springsteen and the E Street band have yet to recreate the success they found in the '70s and '80s. They are however known for their epic long-lasting shows, and have been touring seemingly non-stop for years and years. They're making another round this year and have 17 stops remaining.
